The Loft

The Loft is located upstairs in the barn and was once used for hay storage. It has been completely renovated and now serves as an entertainment area for our guests.


Upon entering the Loft, guests will be greeted by our Slipper Bar. Get cozy and slip into oversized, fuzzy horse-themed slippers as you prepare to relax. This area also contains an old-fashioned popcorn machine and a home/barn theater for guests. In the spirit of our farm, the theater walls are decorated with classic horse-themed movie posters and is a fun place for the whole family. Choose from over 200 DVDs, and take a seat in our comfy recliners. Don’t forget your popcorn!


After your movie, you will want to head to the Horseman’s Billiards Club. This room features a pool table, and is lined with memorabilia from our horses’ racing careers.


If you are looking to get in some wellness and relaxation, The Loft also has a fitness center and a separate infrared sauna that offers color therapy and detoxification. It’s a wonderful way to relax both your tired muscles and your mind. The fitness center and sauna are for adult guests only.

The Gallery Lounge in the barn is located just outside your guest suite and is decorated with beautiful photographs of the Nicura Ranch animals. Here, guests can relax, work, dine, or even enjoy a cocktail. Evenings in The Gallery offer a true taste of Kentucky with delicious cookies and a glass of local bourbon (included in the price of your stay) . Relax by the fire, sip some bourbon, and make new friends.


If bourbon isn’t your drink of choice, we offer a selection of beer, wine, and spirits (for purchase), as well as classic soft drinks, and locally made favorites: Ale 8, Freddie’s Root Beer, and Beez Berries Kombucha.

In The Gallery each morning, guests can enjoy fresh homemade muffins and fruit. Our tasty muffins “Cabbie” are inspired by our horses with flavors that rotate daily, including The “Lady” (spicy caramel), “Bubba B” (double chocolate), and “Beans” (vanilla bean with powdered sugar). Complimentary coffee, a seasonal hot beverage bar, and fresh cream are available all day.


Our sweet hens also want to get your day started right. Complimentary fresh eggs are provided in each suite.




Guests are invited to enjoy our beautiful outdoor spaces while staying on the farm. The gardens, wild flowers, and gorgeous tree-lined hills will be a feast for your eyes in the spring, summer, and fall. Winter holds its own magic when the ranch glistens with snow.


The covered guest patios offer the perfect space to enjoy the Kentucky weather and watch the horses, with patios that overlook the front pasture. There are also fire pits, sitting areas, dining tables, grills, and a quiet garden space.


Guests are welcome to explore the pastures where they will find wooded hills, a creek, and a large fishing pond. The pond is home to our “Redneck Yacht Club” where guests can enjoy the pedal boat, evening lighting, and a fire pit. Looking to get some exercise? There is a walking/running path around the pond as well.

Property

Stables

Of all the amenities we offer, the ability for guests to interact with our animals is the greatest. Guests are invited to enjoy the stable area where they can pet and even groom the horses.


Being with the animals is often described as an unforgettable memory. We are honored to provide such a special experience.

We are thrilled to offer guests delicious homemade ice cream and baked treats. Ice cream pints are always available and can be delivered directly to your guest suite, or pre-ordered with your reservation and waiting for you at arrival.

Homemade Ice Cream

Flavors are chocolate, coffee, maple brown sugar, mint chocolate chip, vanilla and our signature flavors Goat Crazy (cinnamon, ginger and nuts) and Thoroughbred (chocolate, peanut butter and caramel). 

To compliment your ice cream, a selection of made to order bakery items can also be purchased with your reservation and waiting for you in your suite.
